This Privacy Policy describes how BetterCallZaal Strategies LLC ("BetterCallZaal Strategies", "we", "us", or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit bettercallzaal.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us, our services, or our content.
"Services" means, collectively: the Site; consulting, strategic advisory, and connector or introduction services; community, ecosystem, and partnership work; events, calls, and meetings; written, audio, video, and other content we publish; sponsorships and brand collaborations; and any payments you make to BetterCallZaal Strategies in connection with the foregoing, including consulting fees, deposits, and retainers paid by card, ACH, or wallet, and any token, cryptocurrency, or other digital-asset purchases, whether we accept them directly (for example, wallet-to-wallet) or through third-party payment processors such as Stripe, Inc. and Coinflow Labs, Inc.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Contact and inquiry information: name, email address, company or organization, role, and the contents of messages you send through forms on the Site, by email, or through other channels.
- Engagement information: information you share in connection with consulting, advisory, or introduction work, including project goals, scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and related notes from calls or meetings.
- Testimonials and feedback: name, link, and any quote or commentary you submit through testimonial or feedback forms.
- Billing information: business name, billing address, tax identifiers, and limited payment details necessary to invoice or be paid (handled in most cases by our payment processors, not stored by us in full).
- Wallet and on-chain information: public blockchain wallet addresses you connect or provide in connection with any token, cryptocurrency, or digital-asset purchase or delivery.
- Transaction information: records of purchases, invoices, and payments, including amounts, currencies, timestamps, and where applicable transaction hashes.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we may use cookies and local storage to operate the Site, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Site may not work properly.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from service providers and partners that help us deliver the Services, including:
- Payment and crypto processors such as Stripe, Inc. (card and ACH payments for service fees) and Coinflow Labs, Inc. (fiat-to-crypto and card-based digital-asset purchases), which provide transaction confirmations, fraud signals, and limited account identifiers, and which may collect information directly from you to comply with applicable law (including Anti-Money Laundering and Know-Your-Customer requirements);
- Form, scheduling, and email providers (such as Formspree and calendar tools) that deliver your messages and meeting requests to us;
- Public sources including LinkedIn, X, Farcaster, GitHub, and similar platforms when you publicly engage with us or are introduced to us;
- Referral sources who introduce you to us or share publicly available information about you.
Each third party's handling of information it collects directly from you is governed by that party's own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including responding to inquiries, scoping engagements, delivering consulting and advisory work, and making introductions;
- Process payments and invoices, including service-fee payments through Stripe or wallet-to-wallet, and any token, cryptocurrency, or digital-asset purchases processed through Coinflow or other payment partners;
- Communicate with you about engagements, support requests, security alerts, and changes to the Services;
- Send updates, newsletters, and other marketing messages where permitted by law (you can opt out at any time);
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security risks, and unlawful activity;
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests from public authorities;
- Maintain records required for tax, accounting, AML, and other legal obligations; and
- Analyze and improve the Site, content, and Services.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Payment and crypto processors: with Stripe, Inc., Coinflow Labs, Inc., and any other payment partner, in order to invoice, charge, or settle payments. Stripe and Coinflow each act as independent controllers of certain personal information they collect directly from you.
- Consulting and engagement counterparties: with your prior knowledge and as part of the work itself, we may share limited information with the people, organizations, or partners we are connecting you with or working alongside on your behalf.
- Service providers: with vendors that help us operate the Site and Services (for example, hosting, analytics, email, scheduling, document storage, accounting, and form delivery), under confidentiality and data-use restrictions.
- Legal and safety: with law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to enforce our terms or contracts, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BetterCallZaal Strategies, our clients, or others.
- Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information, including testimonials you authorize us to publish.
4. Confidentiality of Engagements
Information shared with us in the course of consulting, advisory, or introduction work is treated as confidential consistent with the terms of any engagement letter, statement of work, or non-disclosure agreement between us. In the absence of a specific agreement, we will use reasonable care to protect such information and will not disclose it except as permitted by this Policy or as needed to deliver the work.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and AML recordkeeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and applicable law.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your wallet credentials, seed phrases, and private keys secure. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable law to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Port your information to another service;
- Opt out of marketing communications; and
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email zaal@thezao.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We cannot delete information recorded on a public blockchain or information we are required by law to retain.
7.1 California Residents
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents may exercise the rights described above by contacting us at zaal@thezao.com.
8. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site and Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party platforms, including Stripe, Coinflow, Farcaster, blockchain networks, wallet providers, social platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
